#OnTour: Mass Trans Innovation Japan 2019

Galgus has participated in the “Mass-Trans Innovation Japan 2019”, which is the only trade show specialized in railways technology in Japan. Galgus was one of the forty European companies that were part of the EU Pavilion and had the opportunity to meet several Japanese companies its disruptive technology and its Software-Defined WiFi solution.

This trade show is held every two years and its the largest expo within the railway sector in the APAC area. The event gathered at the Makuhari Messe in Tokyo over 30,000 visitors including railway companies and operators, rolling stock manufacturers, researchers and developers of new technologies, manufacturers and suppliers of railway technologies, security & information systems experts, engineers and construction agents, trading agents, administrations, local authorities and ministries, associations and institutions.

During three days at the event, Galgus held about more than forty business meetings at its booth with companies and professionals, mainly from Japanese companies. There, we were able to explain our technology, which manages to gain infrastructure cost savings up to 95% and average interference reduction up to 84%.

Despite coming from the on-board WiFi technology for the aviation industry, where its technology runs inside +1,000 commercial airplanes, Galgus has recently entered the railway on-board WiFi industry, with successful deployments on a couple of British operators.
